Patent Litigator Glenn Forbis joins IPWatchdog Panel Discussion about Mega Verdicts in Patent Litigation

Metro Detroit patent litigator Glenn Forbis will participate in a panel discussion on May 24 as part of IPWatchdog’s second annual Patent Litigation Masters™ conference.

The session, titled “Mega Verdicts in U.S. Patent Litigation: Willful Infringement, Exceptionality & PTAB Challenges,” will discuss current hot topics in patent litigation — such as willful infringement, exceptionality, and efficient infringement — in light of the Federal Circuit’s precedential September 2021 decision in SRI v. Cisco and the ongoing situation between VLSI and OpenSky.

The panel will also address strategies that patent owners can use to deal with opportunistic challengers seeking similar mega verdicts at the PTAB.

Forbis will be joined by IPWatchdog founder Gene Quinn and patent litigator David Stein of Brown Rudnick.

The session will take place on Tuesday, May 24 at 11:00 AM. The in-person conference runs May 23 to 24 at the Hyatt Regency in Dulles, Virginia. Please visit the Patent Litigation Masters™ website to learn more and to register for the conference.
