Harness IP Patent Attorney Named to Washington Business Journal 40 Under 40
Harness IP, one of the country’s largest and most respected intellectual property law firms, is pleased to announce the Washington Business Journal named Reston, Virginia patent attorney John Ambrose, Jr. to its 2020 “40 Under 40” list.

As a registered patent attorney, Ambrose’s clients include large, Fortune 500 companies in the electrical, computer, and electromechanical fields. He works with clients in the U.S as well as overseas, including major telecommunications and technology companies in Korea, Japan, Finland, and Canada.
In addition, Ambrose is actively engaging with innovative new technologies pertaining to Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. He is currently teaching himself how to utilize powerful Machine Learning resources to create useful projects on Microsoft’s Azure platform, and is learning about other AI platforms such as those provided by Google Cloud and Amazon Web Services, as well. Ambrose serves as one of the firm’s leading resources on the topic and has been quoted by Law360 on the subject.
Ambrose received his J.D. from the College of William and Mary and his B.S. in Computer Engineering from the University of Virginia. He is involved in a number of professional and community-based organizations. Ambrose serves on Electronic and Computer law Committee and the Diversity in IP Law Committee of the American Intellectual Property Law Association and is a member of the Intellectual Property Section within the National Bar Association and the Diversity and Inclusion Committee of the Intellectual property Owners Association. Locally, he is a member of the Northern Virginia Black Attorneys Association and the Old Dominion Bar Association. Outside of the legal community, Ambrose is a member of Higher Heights for America, a national organization dedicated to expanding black women’s elected representation and voting participation.
