Harness IP Client eLumigen Wins Distinguished Industry Award for LED Lights
Harness IP is pleased to congratulate firm client eLumigen for winning LEDs Magazine’s Sapphire Award for its LED Rough Service A19 Lamps. The innovative LED lamps, which are designed for use in high vibration or harsh industrial environments, won in the “SSL Lamp and Retrofit Designs” category.
“Our company is proud to have won the prestigious Sapphire Award,” says Dr. Mahendra Dassanayake, Chief Technology Officer for eLumigen. “Harness IP was instrumental in driving and guiding the IP strategy from eLumigen’s very inception.”
eLumigen is based in Troy, MI, and is led by former automotive executives who apply their automotive lighting experience to design and manufacture lighting solutions for use in commercial, industrial, outdoor infrastructure, and other potentially adverse or wet environments. The company was founded in 2014 with the goal of fulfilling the growing need for LED lighting that has both durability and exceptional light quality.
Harness IP is proud to provide eLumigen with patent counseling services directed to growing and protecting their portfolio of intellectual property assets. The firm has obtained several U.S. patents — including U.S. Patent Nos. 9,644,824 and 8,186,852 — on technologies that are part of the A19 series recognized by the Sapphire Award.
“A big congratulations to Dr. Dassanayake and the eLumigen team,” says Kevin Mierzwa, Harness IP Principal and patent attorney. “They have created a terrific product, and we wish them continued success and recognition.”
According to its website, “The LEDs Magazine Sapphire Awards celebrate the innovation driving our industry.” Winners were announced during a February 12 ceremony in San Diego.
