Harness IP, one of the country’s largest intellectual property law firms, is pleased to announce that Gerald Welch has been named to the 2020 list of Texas Super Lawyers. This marks the 16^th year in a row in which Welch has been named a Super Lawyers honoree.

Welch is a Principal in the firm’s Metro Dallas office. His practice spans nearly four decades and focuses on serving clients in the medical device, healthcare, electrical, and energy production and delivery industries. He routinely performs due diligence investigations, conducts clearance studies for introducing new products, and handles post-issuance disputes before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. He also counsels clients regarding intellectual property strategies to enhance the value of their portfolios.

Welch joins several Harness IP attorneys from the firm’s Metro Detroit office who were named Super Lawyers for the state of Michigan. These lawyers include: Lisabeth Coakley and Glenn Forbis. One additional attorney from Troy — Tim Martin — was named to the Rising Stars list for exceptional attorneys who are 40 years old or younger and have practiced law for ten years or less.

The Super Lawyers designation is granted to only the most respected attorneys and includes no more than 5% of attorneys in each state.
