Dassault Systèmes Wins Jury Verdict in Trial Led by Harness IP Litigators
Congratulations to Dassault Systèmes for winning a recent jury verdict of copyright infringement against Keith Childress, d/b/a Practical Catia Training, in the United States Federal Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
Dassault Systèmes, an international software company, was represented at trial by Glenn Forbis and Brad Luchsinger of Harness IP.
The jury returned a verdict that the Defendant had infringed Dassault’s copyrights in the CATIA V5 three-dimensional computer aided design software and awarded Dassault its lost licensing revenue and a complete disgorgement of the Defendant’s profits. Dassault’s motion for injunctive relief and its motion for attorneys’ fees are currently pending.
