Harness IP Elects Four New Principals
Harness IP, one of the country’s largest and most respected intellectual property law firms, is pleased to announce that the following four attorneys have been named the firm’s newly elected class of Principals, effective January, 1, 2019.
Metro St. Louis Office
- Joel Samuels – Samuels’ practice focuses on intellectual property litigation in the areas of patents, trade secrets, trademarks and copyrights. He has experience in all aspects of federal litigation, including conducting discovery, Markman proceedings, motion practice, and conducting trials. Samuels also assists in the preparation of legal opinions, including validity and infringement opinions.
- David (DJ) Tucker – Tucker assists clients in developing and executing intellectual property strategies. As an experienced patent attorney, he prepares and prosecutes patent applications throughout the world, and routinely obtains valuable patent protection through open communication and interaction with Patent Examiners. In addition to his patent related experience, Tucker routinely advises and assists clients regarding other intellectual property assets, such as trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. He provides a wide range of technical experience relating to electric power generation and conversion systems, electric motors and controls, electronic circuits, display technology including LCD, LED, and 3D displays, computer software and systems including software applications for mobile devices, telecommunications systems, antenna theory and design, thermal management for electronic devices and fire sprinkler protection systems.

- Nancy Britt – With nearly 15 years of intellectual property law experience, Britt has extensive expertise in preparing and prosecuting patent applications directed towards business methods, manufacturing equipment, packaging, pharmaceutical compositions and methods, food processing and consumer products. In particular, she has represented large and small companies and independent inventors in the United States, Asia and Europe in patent prosecution and litigation matters. Britt also conducts freedom to operate, infringement, validity and competitive landscape searches and analyses for clients.
- Michael Gamble – As a patent attorney, Gamble’s IP practice emphasizes patent prosecution and intellectual property counseling in both the United States and abroad. His practice is primarily focused on identifying and harvesting a business’s innovations to create portfolios of patents which can be monetized to create, grow and protect their market interests.
