Dallas IP Firm Proud to Sponsor Team Tony at Upcoming Dallas Heart Walk
Harness IP is proud to once again sponsor Team Tony, a top 25 community team participating in the upcoming Dallas Heart Walk organized by the American Heart Association. The walk, which takes place September 9 and will lead participants through downtown Dallas, is expected to include nearly 80,000 walkers and volunteers.
Team Tony is named after Tony Welch, a survivor of three open heart surgeries and a stroke, and is led by his parents, Jerry and Lucia Welch. Jerry Welch, a Principal in the Frisco office of Harness IP, praises the American Heart Association for their hard work. “There’s no doubt that the continuing efforts of the AHA and advances in medical technology have improved Tony’s life and the lives of so many people around the country,” said Welch. “We are grateful to everyone who contributes to them and participates in the Heart Walk.”
According to the Heart Walk’s website, Heart Walks are the “American Heart Association’s premier event for raising funds to save lives from this country’s No. 1 and No. 5 killers – heart disease and stroke.” Team Tony has currently raised more than $6,000 — beating their team goal — and plans to raise even more in the weeks before the walk.
Harness IP is pleased to support Team Tony as a Platinum Supporter, contributing to the team’s efforts to raise money for the American Heart Association that will be used in their ongoing efforts to improve patient care, advocate for healthier communities, and raise awareness about cardiovascular health issues facing Americans.
