Four Harness IP Patent Attorneys Receive International Recognition
Harness IP, one of the country’s largest and most respected patent and trademark firms, is pleased to announce that four patent attorneys in its Metro Detroit headquarters are included in the newest edition of IAM Patent 1000 honoring the world’s leading patent professionals. The 2017 edition marks the third year in a row that patent attorneys Mark Elchuk, David Utykanski and Bryant Wade are included, while this is the first year that veteran patent attorney Greg Stobbs is recognized by the international publication.
In business for more than ninety-five years, Harness IP provides full-service intellectual property solutions to clients around the globe. The firm’s “big picture” strategy includes patent preparation and prosecution, trademark and copyright protection, trade secret agreements, litigation services, opinion work, portfolio management and beyond.
In this year’s entry for Harness IP, IAM notes:
Satisfying the full range of patent needs for a slew of prestigious innovators, the state’s largest IP specialist Harness, Dickey & Pierce has a particularly stellar name for prosecution; its large and prolific team of drafters contains an impressive range of expertise. Focusing on robotics, optics and the electrical arts, Bryant Wade handles weighty international portfolios with acuity; he has gained an enviable following among Japanese companies. His colleague, aerospace whizz Mark Elchuk, has a real affinity for computer control systems, electromechanical and mechanical inventions. His non-contentious output is distinguished by intelligent drafting and polished client service. The multi-talented David Utykanski has a panoramic perspective on intellectual assets; he obtains IP rights and advocates persuasively before the federal courts and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. Also fighting clients’ corners in disputes is Gregory Stobbs, a veteran litigator and author of major treatises on software patent law.
Hailing itself as “a one-stop resource that focuses exclusively on naming best-in-class patent prosecution, licensing and litigation practitioners on a global basis,” the IAM Patent 1000 provides detailed information to assist businesses and individuals in identifying best-in-class patent attorneys.
Honorees are included following an exhaustive interview process in which peers and clients are asked to provide feedback on certain patent attorneys and firms. Those who receive significant positive feedback are eligible for inclusion.
