Harness IP Sponsors IPO Hosted Girl Scout IP Patch Event
On Saturday, May 7, IPO Education Foundation and IPO’s Women in IP Law Committee hosted Brownie and Junior Girl Scouts at USPTO headquarters for a half-day workshop to earn the Girl Scout IP Patch. Girls created their own inventions and learned how the patent system allows them to invent improvements to existing devices. They talked with representatives from leading law firms and corporations about how IP is used by companies. Harness IP was happy to take part in the event by being a sponsor and having a booth set up for the Girl Scouts to visit and learn about intellectual property. Attorneys Leanne Rakers, Elisabeth Koral and Blair Hoyt attended the event.
