Four Harness IP Attorneys Recognized by World Trademark Review
Harness IP is pleased to announce its inclusion in the 2022 edition of World Trademark Review 1000. This new edition of the go-to resource for people seeking world-class trademark expertise includes four Harness IP attorneys among its list of the top trademark professionals in the world. The firm’s offices in Michigan and Missouri are also ranked due to their depth of expertise and market presence.
The Harness IP attorneys recognized by World Trademark Review 1000 include:
- Beth Coakley, Metro Detroit
- Lisa DuRoss, Metro Detroit
- Joe Walsh, Metro St. Louis
- Bryan Wheelock, Metro St. Louis
This marks Coakley’s eighth year receiving recognition in the World Trademark Review 1000 list. The guide notes that Coakley “distinguishes herself as a global strategist for famous brands and a talented all-round prosecutor and litigator.” She is included in the Gold level band of IP attorneys.
2022 is the first year for DuRoss, who is the Chair of the firm’s Trademark Practice Committee, to appear on the list. She is distinguished for having “decades of experience managing trademarks and directing brand strategy” and demonstrates “pragmatism and a commitment to the highest standards of customer care.” DuRoss additionally earned a Silver ranking in this year’s report.
Walsh also makes his first appearance in the World Trademark Review 1000 this year. It is also only the second year in which the guide recognizes attorneys and firms in the state of Missouri. The publication notes Walsh’s strengths in trademark prosecution while adding that he “knows how to get signatures on the dotted lines of IP-rich M&A and licensing agreements,” referencing Walsh’s skills as a business facilitator and consensus builder.
This is the second straight year for Wheelock, whom the publication dubs a “precision trademark prosecutor” and “trusted adviser to numerous high-flying clients.” The guide goes on to say that Wheelock “has a flair for whipping trademark portfolios into shape.”
