Four Harness IP Patent Attorneys Named to IAM Patent 1000’s Annual List
Harness IP, one of the country’s largest and most respected intellectual property law firms, is pleased to share that IAM Patent 1000 has once again recognized four Metro Detroit patent attorneys in their annual list. This will be the seventh consecutive year in which Harness IP attorneys have made the list.
The attorneys who made the 2020 list include:
- Mark Elchuk – Elchuk has significant expertise in aerospace technology and has prosecuted patents for a Fortune 50 corporation that involved phased array antennas, piezoelectric actuators, radar, fiber optic, satellite communications, global positioning systems, and composite material manufacturing. He represents one of the largest research laboratories in the world, and has experience with high power laser diode systems and non-contact vascular imaging technology.
- Paul Keller – With more than 40 years of patent and trademark law experience, Keller’s practice includes the creation and overall management of significant domestic and international IP portfolios. He is involved in a variety of technology disciplines, and counsels clients regarding strategic procurement, enforcement, and licensing of utility and design patents, trademarks, and copyrights.
- David Utykanski – Utykanski’s practice is primarily concentrated on counseling and assisting clients in obtaining, evaluating, enforcing, and exploiting intellectual property rights, including patents and trade secrets. His experience includes arbitration, trial practice, deposition practice, and Markman claim construction, as well as the preparation of pleadings, motions, and discovery.
- Bryant Wade – Wade’s practice involves the management, preparation, and prosecution of domestic and international patent applications primarily for Japanese companies. He also advises on intellectual property driven strategic planning initiatives on a global scale, prepares legal opinions and international license agreements, as well as enforces IP rights both in the U.S. and abroad.
According to IAM:
“Home to more than 100 patent attorneys, Harness IP is well equipped to handle complex innovations in any technical or scientific discipline. Beyond merely protecting clients’ proprietary technology, the ensemble excels at putting patent rights to effective commercial use in global markets. Paul Keller has been doing this for 35 years and is one of the most experienced high-level strategists on deck. His colleagues in Detroit Mark Elchuk, Bryant Wade and David Utykanski also train their eye on the bigger business picture as they work their magic as prosecutors at the USPTO and as advisers around boardroom tables. Elchuk is distinguished by his wealth of experience in the aerospace and automotive sectors; Wade meets the patenting needs of Japanese companies with perfect exactitude; and Utykanski stands out for his dual prosecution and litigation expertise.”
